internal carotid artery
division of the common carotid artery, serves to the brain
Common Carotid Arteries
2nd branch of the aortic arch. divides into the Internal and External Carotid arteries
Vertebral Artery
division of the subclavian artery, serves the brain
Brachiocephalic trunk
first branch off the aortic arch, splits into the common carotid
Ascending Aorta
where the aorta springs upward from the left ventricle of the heart, turns into the aortic arch
Coronary Artery
only branches of the ascending aorta, serve the heart
Superior mesenteric artery
supplies most of the small intestine and the first half of the large investing, or colon
Renal Artery
serve the kidney
Gonadal artery
supply the gonads. they are called the ovarian arteries in females and the testicular arteries in males.

small, unpaired artery supplying the 2nd half of the large intestine
subclavian artery
third branch of the aortic arch, gives off the important branch of the Vertebral Artery.
Axillary artery
division of the vertebral artery, then becomes the brachial artery
Brachial artery
supplies the arm. splits into the radial and ulnar arteries
Radial artery
division of the brachial artery. serves the forearm

division of the brachial artery. serves the forearm
External iliac artery
enters the thigh and becomes the femoral artery. serves the thigh
Femoral artery
comes from the external iliac artery. serves the thigh.
external jugular vein
supplies the subclavian vein with venous blood from the skin and muscles of the head
vertebral vein
drains the posterior part of the vein
right and left brachiocephalic veins
large veins that receive venous drainage from the subclavian, vertebral, and internal jugular veins. join to for the superior vena cava

superficial vein that drains the medial aspect of the arm and empties into the brachial vein proximally.
