Study this deck
CI (Cardiac Index)
Amount of blood pumped by the heart/L/min/m^2 BSA
SV (Stroke Volume)
Amount of blood pumped by the heart/cardiac cycle ml/beat
CO (Cardiac Output)
Volume of blood pumped by heart L/min
CVP (Central Venous Pressure)
Used to approximate RVEDP
RVEDP (Right Ventricular End Diastolic Pressure)
Asseses right ventricular function and fluid status
SVR (Systemic Vascular Resistance)
Measurement of the resistance of the systemic vascular bed to the blood flow
MAP (Mean Arterial Pressure)
Reflects changes in the relationsip between CO and SVR
SVO^2 (Saturated Venous Oxygenation)
Indicates adequacy of tissue oxygenation
PAP (Pulmonary Artery Pressure)
Blood pressure in the pulmonary artery
PWCP/PWAP (Pulmonary Capillary Wedge Pressure)
Used to approximate Left Ventricular End Diastolic Pressure
PVR (Pulmonary Vascular Resistance)
The measurement of the resistance of the pulmonary vascular bed to blood flow
RVP (Right Ventricular Pressure)
Direct measuremetn that indicates right ventricular funciton and fluid status
SI/SVI (Stroke Index/Stroke Volume Index)
Amount of blood ejeceted from the heart in 1 cardiac cycle related to BSA, ml/m^2 BSA
