How do you treat a patient with compartment syndrome?
Elevate extremity, cold packs, o2, IV fluids - compartment syndrome? Goal is to get them to the hospitalbefore extremity becomes pulseless.
What happens to the body with hyperventilation?
Hyperventilation decreases carbon dioxide content of the blood (hypocarbia). Decrease in ETCO2 and increase in PH.
