Do not begin sentences with conjunctions, For, and, nor, but, or, so,yet,
Fanboys= Beginning
Never end a sentence with a preposition, Example: The squirrel ran a marathon.
Prepositions= End of sentence
Use pronouns Infrequent, Examples: He, she, it, they, you him, her, us, them.
He, she, we, they
Incorrect Pronouns: A person must go to the store, because they don't have food.
A person= they, A person= he/she
When writing a paper, keep the verb tense the same throughout.
Research on paper, Present Tense, Present Tense, Present Tense
Incorrect: We is going to the mall., Correct: We are going to the mall.
Subject, verb
Make sure to keep parallel structure in writing.
Lines
Make sure you only (and always) put apostrophes on contractions and possessive forms of
nouns. Example: I'm, can't, mrs. johnson's class.

Questions end with a question mark, and statements end with a period Do not be tricked!
Incorrect: I wonder what the weather is outside.

All papers must havee a thesis statement.

The first sentence of any body paragraph is the topic sentence. It introduces what will be
disscussed in the paragraph.

Indent 1st line of paragraph with this and /or a transition i & is difficult to tell when you are
going.

Do not overuse exclamation points. Only use them in dialogue or interjections

Lingo/Slang is not acceptable in papers. "U", "R", "Y", "CUZ", "kinda", "sorta", etectera
may not be used in any papers.
