What is Bias?
A prejudice in favor or against one thing, person, or group, compared to another. Usually considered unfair.
What is audience?
The person or persons, intended to receive the message.
What is authorship?
The person, group that created the message.
What is purpose?
the reason for the message.
What is main idea?
The most important or central idea in the message.
What is Point of View?
A certain attitude or way of considering a matter, based on personal experiences, background and beliefs.
What are four ways of detecting bias?
Generalizations, exaggerations, opinions stated as fact, and emotionally loaded language.
Subjective writing is?
Writing based on opinions.
Objective writing is?
Writing based on facts.
