Frame of reference
A system of objects that are not moving with respect to each other.
Relative Motion
Movement in relation to the frame of reference.
Distance
The length between two points.
Vector
A quantity that has a direction associated with it.
Resultant Vector
The vector sum of two or more vectors.
Speed
The relation between distance and time.
Average Speed
Total difference between distance traveled divided by the time it took.
Velocity
The speed and direction an object is moving, measured from the reference point.
Instantaneous Speed
The rate at which an object is moving at a given rate of time.
Acceleration
The rate at which velocity changes.
Free Fall
The movement of an object towards earth because of gravity.
Constant acceleration
A steady change in velocity.
