CertBrain is live: AWS AI Practitioner exam prep on the Braineos platform

by braineos · October 19, 2026

When Finance Brain went live, it was the first partner site running on the Braineos platform: one codebase, several focused learning sites, each with its own name, content and database.

Now there's a second. CertBrain is a study site for one specific goal: passing the AWS Certified AI Practitioner exam.

What CertBrain is

The AWS Certified AI Practitioner exam (exam code AIF-C01) is Amazon Web Services' foundational certification in artificial intelligence. It checks that you understand AI, machine learning and generative AI concepts, and know which AWS services fit which business problems. You don't need to write code to pass it.

CertBrain is built around the exam's own structure. AWS's exam guide splits the content into five domains, and CertBrain has one course for each:

  • Fundamentals of AI and ML (17 lessons)
  • Fundamentals of GenAI (15 lessons)
  • Applications of Foundation Models (18 lessons)
  • Guidelines for Responsible AI (11 lessons)
  • Security, Compliance and Governance for AI Solutions (9 lessons)

Each lesson is short and focused on what the exam expects you to know. After the reading come scenario questions written in the style of the exam, followed by flashcards on the key terms. Then everything comes back for review on a spaced-repetition schedule, so you're tested again right before you'd be likely to forget.

There's also a readiness diagnostic: a short quiz across all five domains that shows where you're already strong and where to focus. You don't need an account to take it.

Content you can trust

Exam prep only works if the answers are right. Every lesson, question and flashcard on CertBrain is original, written from AWS's public exam guide and documentation, and each one records the AWS documentation page it's based on. Nothing is copied from the real exam or from other courses.

AWS also changes faster than most exam material does. Several AI services have recently closed to new customers. CertBrain mentions them with a note where the exam might still bring them up, but never uses a retired service as the correct answer.

CertBrain is an independent study resource. It isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Amazon Web Services.

Same engine, different site

As with Finance Brain, a lot of CertBrain will feel familiar if you use Braineos.com:

  • The scheduler that decides when a question or card comes back is the same one Braineos uses.
  • Lessons, multiple-choice questions and courses are the same building blocks Finance Brain uses, and they were built into Braineos first.
  • Streaks and progress tracking work the same way.

CertBrain has its own name, brand and feature switches. Like Finance Brain, it turns courses on and user-made decks off. It also has its own separate database, so your Braineos account isn't a CertBrain account, and nothing you do on one site shows up on the other.

Building it this way means CertBrain gets every improvement made to Braineos, and the other way round: the readiness diagnostic and the way CertBrain organises its content are now part of the platform too.

What this means for Braineos

Nothing changes on Braineos.com. Your decks, reviews and streak stay exactly where they are. Braineos stays the place to build and share your own flashcards on any subject. CertBrain is for people preparing for one exam who'd rather follow a course planned around it.

If the AWS AI Practitioner certification is on your list, take the free CertBrain diagnostic and see where you stand.
