Privacy Policy
Effective October 1, 2026
Braineos ("Braineos", "we", "us") is a flashcard study app at braineos.com. This page explains what information we collect, how we use it, and who you can contact with questions.
Information we collect
When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and, if you choose to set one, a username, bio, location, website, and profile picture. We also store the content you create and the activity you generate while using the app: decks and flashcards, votes, follows, study sessions and scores, and per-card study scheduling data (so we can show you which cards are due for review).
How we use it
We use this information to operate the app: authenticating you, displaying your decks and profile, tracking your study progress and streaks, and showing public content (like decks and leaderboards) to other users where applicable. We do not sell your information or share it with advertisers.
Authentication & service providers
Sign-in is handled by Google and Supabase Auth — we never see or store your Google password. Supabase also hosts our database. These providers process your data on our behalf under their own privacy and security terms; we don't share your data with any other third party.
Cookies
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Public content
Decks you create are publicly viewable and studyable by anyone with the link or who finds them via search/discover, including your display name. Keep this in mind before including anything sensitive in a deck or your profile.
Data retention & deletion
We keep your account and content until you ask us to delete it. To request deletion of your account and associated data, email us at the address below.
Children's privacy
Braineos is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the effective date above.
