Braineos connector for Claude

Build and study Braineos flashcard decks from claude.ai or Claude Code.

What it does

The Braineos connector lets Claude create and study your Braineos flashcard decks on your behalf -- turning notes, a document, or a codebase into cards, and running spaced-repetition quizzes -- without leaving your conversation with Claude.

Add it

Connector URL: https://braineos.com/api/mcp

claude.ai: go to Customize → Connectors (Organization settings → Connectors on a Team or Enterprise plan), click Add custom connector, paste the URL above, and sign in to your Braineos account when prompted.

Claude Code: run claude mcp add --transport http braineos https://braineos.com/api/mcp, then run /mcp in a session to sign in.

What Claude can do

  • List and search your decks.
  • Create a new deck with cards, tags and a description.
  • Add more cards to a deck you own.
  • Read all the cards in one of your decks, or in any public deck.
  • Edit or delete cards, and change a deck's name, description, tags or privacy, on decks you own.
  • Attach an image from a public link to a card in a deck you own.
  • Show which decks and cards are due for spaced-repetition review.
  • Record a quiz attempt, updating your review schedule and daily streak.
  • Show your current streak, streak freezes, weekly points, and premium status.

Visibility and limits

Decks the connector creates are public by default, same as decks created on the website. Premium accounts can create a deck as private instead. New decks are limited to 10 per day. You need to have accepted Braineos's Terms of Use (on the website) before the connector can create a deck for you.

Disconnecting

In claude.ai, remove it from Settings → Connectors. In Claude Code, remove it from your MCP configuration, or disable the plugin if you installed it that way. Either way, this only revokes Claude's access -- your decks and account are unaffected.

See our Privacy Policy for how Braineos handles your data.
