Tower Defense now has castle art

by Miles Corran · November 4, 2026

Tower Defense on Braineos has a new look. Until now the game drew its towers as circles with barrels, and every enemy carried the site mascot. Both are gone.

The towers are now stone: an Archer Tower, a Ballista Keep and Twin Cannons. Each one is seen from above and turns to aim at what it is shooting. The raiders are a bat, a goblin, a battering ram and a dragon. They follow a dirt road with a few stones along it, past pine trees and rocks, to a castle gate where the path ends.

The towers still take their floor and pennant colours from the site theme, so the game looks like it belongs to the page around it. The stone, wood and metal are the same everywhere. The new art was drawn and checked on all three levels, on light and dark page backgrounds.

To see it, open any deck with enough cards and press Play Tower Defense, then choose a level and play as you did before.

What it isn't: a new game. This change is drawing only. The rules, the balance and the way you play are the same as last week. If you liked the old version, the game itself has not moved.
